I graduated from Fuller School of Psychology in 2011 with a degree in Marital and Family Therapy. I also received Level-I and Level-2 training in EMDR-trauma treatment from the Institute of Creative Mindfulness in 2019. My clinical background is diverse and equips me to work with a variety of populations. From community mental health to in-home Wraparound services, IOP/PHP eating disorder treatment, and private practice, I am passionate about helping people heal, shed unhelpful narratives and beliefs, and live into whole and authentic selves and lives.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy playing with my kids, hiking with my husband, listening to podcasts, and eating my way through LA’s restaurants with my friends.
Hi, I’m Katie and thank you for taking the time to get to know about me and my practice. I believe it is important I show up authentically with my clients to also invite them to show up authentically with me. Part of my story is that since I was child, I was curious about the inner-worlds, feelings, and experiences of others. In trying to understand my world, I was always uniquely curious about how others’ made sense of their worlds. After briefly working in the non-profit sector doing disaster response out of college, I felt compelled to use my skills to help others in a more direct way.
